I cannot recommend Gill and his team enough. He is reliable, trustworthy, punctual, and the work is amazing. Working with him and his team was the easiest part of my renovation. They helped with my IKEA cabinet design plan, did all of the shopping, inventory, and installation. Before placing the order, he came by and drew on the walls where all the cabinets were going to see if I wanted to make some changes. 5 stars truly are not enough. If you're installing an Ikea kitchen, go with Gill!

Gill is the owner of this incredible company and he and his crew are TO NOTCH! They do everything will precision and care. This had been the very best experience with any service work that I have ever had and I will look forward to having them back in my home and referring then to others as much as possible. The pride they each take in their work and the way that they take the stress and frustration out of what can sometimes be a very challenging situation is truly one of their many talents and skills. It was a pleasure having this team in my home and such a comfortable and exciting experience to witness their talents helping make things better and easier on me and my family. Do not look any further than CA&I because they will get the job done for you in an excellent way and at a more than fair price because that is what they do!!

I'm in real estate and I buy a lot from IKEA. Ever since IKEA switched assembly provider to Taskrabbit, I found their system extremely difficult to navigate. Luckily, I found CAI and enjoyed their quality service on several occasions until I made an innocent mistake recently. I would normally submit an assembly request on their website but I had so much going on at the time so I asked Gill the owner for help. They came quickly to my rescue and made me so grateful to Gill and appreciative of his professionalism. I was 100% that this was a working relationship to go to the distance with.

Then the bill came. I was floored to see a $1800 invoice for a $649 job! I asked for a breakdown of the cost and eventually got it reduced down to $920 after being chastised on the phone for not using their online portal!
The whole job was arranged via text. As anyone can see that there's no mentioning/warning of a different fee structure here in the screenshot. Below that is Gill's rage after receiving my check for the correct amount he should have charged us with.

My point here is that the customer should always be given the option to make an informed decision. No one in their right mind would agree to pay triple for a job. Yes, I admit my naivety in believing that Gill got my back but not using their online web portal just for once is not a crime and should not be penalized so viciously. Would anyone trust a company that pounces on a customer when they make a mistake and preemptively strike with hostility when questioned?

My rebuttal:

The owner Gill doesn't dispute the fact that he tried to take advantage of a customer in need with an outrageously inflated bill triple the normal amount. His only defense is that I did not use his online portal. Any upstanding business would have a certain flexibility or simply warn their customers up front about the price to pay.

Update:

I was previously baffled by Gill's viciousness in his reaction to me after I questioned the validity of his astronomical bill but it's now become clear to me. It wasn't because I made a "mistake." He thought I didn't know how many pieces of furniture I had them assemble and he jumped on the opportunity to take advantage of an unsuspecting customer! What a dishonest sneaky crook!

Our company used Gil's company to put in cabinetry for our office space. He lacked professionalism as he was paid in full for the services but did not come back to finish the work. Gil left unfinished cabinetry that was promised to be complete once the correct cabinet arrived. Lesson learned a man's word isn't worth anything these days. Buyer beware!!

Lee Johnson assembled 2 kitchen play sets (which came in about a million pieces), 2 bookcases, 2 step stools, 2 wire stands, and 1 sofa table. Communication was fantastic and he was extremely professional and super kind!!! He called prior to arrival and texted pictures when he was done. Everything was assembled perfectly and he moved all the furniture where I needed them to go. He worked by himself and completed the job that would have taken us days to finish in about 4 hours. And best of ALL is the price!!!! The price was extremely reasonably and I definitely will use CAIATL again!!! I definitely recommend CAIATL if you need anything assembled! Thank you Lee and you literally have made my girls extremely happy by putting together their play kitchen sets!!!!
