They were hired to put together a power rack and lat pull-down machine for a gym. I had to repeatedly correct what they were doing as they either failed to follow the instructions properly or simply chose not to look at them for many steps. They were careless with handling the pieces and scratched the finishing paint/coat off the very expensive gym equipment in numerous places. At one point I found that one of them must have knocked over the tall glass of water I gave him all over the interlocking rubber tile floor but he either didn’t notice or didn’t say anything. By the time I saw this it had been sitting so long the water had seeped through the tile cracks below to the concrete so I had to move equipment nearby and lift up the tiles to dry the area. Additionally one of them basically demanded I buy them lunch with a very passive aggressive request before they were even half done with the job. In the end they completed the work, but it would not have been done correctly without my micromanaging and following the instructions alongside with them and there are still things that aren’t perfect.
