These are modular cedar systems specified accessory by accessory with a dealer, not a model number in a box. It is the reason they fit a yard so well, and the reason you are working from the phase drawings rather than following along with somebody on YouTube.
Configured, not boxed
Backyard Adventures sells through local dealer showrooms, where a designer works through the base structure and then the accessories with you: rock walls, tire swings, monkey bars, slides, tower and deck combinations. Their own catalog makes the point that no catalog could hold all the customized configurations available. Many dealers run a 3D build-and-quote tool for exactly this reason.
That is a real advantage when the set has to fit a particular yard, and it produces a specific assembly problem. With a retail-box brand you can search the model number and watch somebody build the identical thing. With a configured set there is a base manual plus the accessory instructions for the parts your household chose, and the combination is close to unique. You read ahead instead of following along.
The manual is organized to suit that, and asks you to follow the instructions completely, phase by phase. On a configured set, doing the phases out of order is how people end up removing decking to reach a bracket that was meant to go in three phases earlier.

What goes wrong, specifically
The lifetime warranty is conditional on maintenance, and that is in writing
This is the fact worth knowing at the showroom and it is almost never mentioned there. Backyard Adventures’ owner manual states that wood component failure judged to be the direct result of inadequate maintenance can void the limited lifetime warranty. What they expect is ongoing staining, hardware tightening, replacement of worn parts as needed, and complete cleaning and stain coverage of the ground-contact lumber. Dealers sell maintenance plans precisely because of this clause. Treat the annual going-over as part of owning the set rather than as an upsell, and keep a record of it.
Six feet of clearance, and the rule includes what is above the deck
All stationary components need six feet, or 1829mm, from any structure or obstruction. Their manual names the ones people forget: a fence, a building, tree branches, and suspended wires. Branches over a tower and a utility line crossing the corner of a yard are the two that get discovered after the set is standing, and moving an anchored cedar tower is a considerably worse day than choosing a different corner.
Never on a hard surface
The manual is explicit that playground equipment should never be placed on concrete, asphalt, or hard-packed ground. This comes up when somebody wants the set on an existing patio slab or a well-worn bare patch of yard, which is exactly the flattest ground available and exactly the wrong ground to use.
The anchors are supplied and are meant to be installed
Anchoring devices come with the set and the manual requires them to be installed as stated in the instructions. Their guidance is also to consult your dealer about soil conditions, which is worth doing on sand, on heavy clay, or on a site that has been recently backfilled, because the anchor that works in loam is not necessarily doing anything in loose fill.
Nobody plays on it until it is finished, including during the build
Children are not to be in the area during assembly, and the equipment should not be used until it is properly installed. On a two-day owner build this is harder than it sounds, because a half-built tower with a deck at four feet is the most interesting object that has ever appeared in the yard. Plan for it.
Hiring somebody is contemplated, and it is your arrangement
Their manual acknowledges that a customer may choose to use a third party to assemble the product, and states that Backyard Adventures assumes no responsibility or liability for the charges the customer incurs doing so. That is normal and it is not a discouragement, it simply means the install contract is between you and whoever builds it. Agree the scope in writing, specifically who levels the ground, who anchors, and who removes the packaging.
Before the dealer delivers
Pace out the footprint and then pace six feet beyond it on every side, and look up while you are standing there. Fences, branches and overhead wires are all named in the clearance rule.
Level the ground and clear the area first. The manual asks for level ground, and on a configured tower a slope is not something you correct later.
Collect every manual for every accessory that was specified, not just the base structure. On a configured set the accessory sheets are the part that is easy to leave in the box.
Ask the dealer about soil conditions and anchoring for your specific yard while you still have their attention, and ask what their maintenance plan covers, because that clause is what keeps the warranty alive.
Who this is really for
Somebody who wants a cedar system shaped around an actual yard and an actual family rather than whichever model happened to be on the shelf, and who values being able to add to it later. The modular design means a rock wall or an extra swing bay can be added as children grow.
It suits people who are comfortable working from drawings. If following a video is how you like to build things, that is a real argument for having the dealer arrange installation, and no reflection on your ability with a socket set. The information simply does not exist for a one-off configuration.
And it suits somebody who will actually maintain it. The set is built to last decades and the warranty is written to match, on the condition that the lumber is looked after. A set that is stained and tightened once a year is a different object at year ten than one that was built and forgotten.
