If you get pressure alerts, look at the PRV rather than the device

The device is recommended for continuous pressure up to around 80 PSI, and high static pressure will show up as alerts. That is the device correctly reporting a real condition rather than being oversensitive, and high household pressure is worth fixing on its own account because it shortens the life of every fixture, appliance and connection in the house. The thing to check is whether the pressure reducing valve is present and functioning and set within spec. Treating a pressure alert as a nuisance to silence is a way of turning a useful early warning into an expensive surprise later.
